Having worked in both the civil and criminal divisions, her work has included civil and criminal bench and jury trials and appellate advocacy in support of serious felony convictions. Additionally, her juvenile criminal work has earned her national media recognition. Prior to law school, she was employed as a counselor to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking and later as a victims’ advocate for the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office, New Orleans, Louisiana.
