Commitment to Service:

Irma has strong ties to many active-duty members, retirees, and contractors through her recent separation from the Air Force in 2022. She also has a long history of seeking opportunities to help others. Some of the most impactful to her came from the Bob Hope Village for retired military members and surviving spouses in Florida and the Hachinohe School for the Deaf & Blind in Japan.

Background:

Irma is an Air Force veteran from South Texas and currently resides near Nellis AFB, Nevada. After 10 years of service as a dental assistant, she separated and sought an opportunity to change careers. Previous assignments include RAF Upwood, RAF Alconbury, Hurlburt Field, Ali Al Salem (Kuwait) and Misawa Air Base.

Personal Life

Irma’s hobbies include running, cooking, collecting vinyl records, and watching movies. Irma met her husband Vincent, a Tactical Aircraft Maintainer for F-15s, during her time on active duty. She also has two cats named Frank and Beans. She completed her first marathon at the Hoover Dam in December 2023. Her favorite musical artists are Arctic Monkeys and Cass Elliott (Mama Cass). Her favorite films are Harold and Maude, Darjeeling Limited, and There Will Be Blood.
