Rebecca L. Bartlett is dedicated to assisting military service members and veterans in navigating the often sluggish and complicated administrative process of securing VA disability compensation benefits. She is particularly focused on helping veterans who maintain FAA credentials and want to ensure their VA benefits do not conflict with their FAA status—an issue where her legal expertise and aviation heritage intersect.
For Rebecca, aviation is in her blood. Her father was part of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, one grandfather was a fighter pilot, and the other was a River Rat in the Vietnam conflict, a member of the 82nd Airborne, and a bomber pilot in the Korean War. Today, her husband carries on that proud tradition as a Naval Aviator.
Rebecca’s deep family legacy in military aviation makes her passion for serving those who serve not just professional, but profoundly personal. With first-hand knowledge of the physical, emotional, and regulatory struggles veterans face, she is uniquely positioned to guide them through the challenges of balancing their VA benefits and aviation careers.
Rebecca founded Bartlett Legal Group in an effort to serve the military community she has grown up surrounded by her entire life. She began her career as a social worker with an emphasis in working with trauma survivors. She is a seasoned trial and appellate attorney, having served both as a criminal and civil prosecutor for the state of Washington. Her juvenile criminal advocacy earned her national media recognition, advocating for an overhaul of a juvenile statute allowing murder convictions to be sealed.
Prior to law school, she was employed as a counselor to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking and later as a victims’ advocate for the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office, New Orleans, Louisiana. Her extensive experience working with victims of domestic and sexual violence garnered her significant community recognition. With a Master’s in Social Work and a Certificate in Disaster Mental Health, Rebecca is educated and experienced in working with survivors of all types of trauma. Her personal experiences, her time as a civil and criminal prosecutor, and her years of work with survivors of trauma bolster her ability to assist her clients in achieving their best possible results.
Rebecca is a proud military spouse and mother to three wonderful children. She is also a dog lover and avid supporter of the animal rescue community. Coffee and plants sustain her. If not at home, she can be found enjoying nature with her family.
